Tips for Throwing a Beautiful Backyard Wedding

Tips for Throwing a Beautiful Backyard Wedding

These days, backyard weddings are becoming more and more common. Not only are they easier to plan, but they are more intimate and allow for comfort and personalization. You don’t need to spend your entire life savings to celebrate your special day.

You can still have your big bridal moment, even from the comfort of your own home. If you want to throw a beautiful backyard wedding, use these tips to create a stunning ceremony everyone will remember.

Prepare for Any Weather

Getting married outdoors allows you to enjoy all of the beauty that nature has to offer. However, Mother Nature can be unpredictable. Don’t get caught without an umbrella; make arrangements and prepare for any kind of weather.

Rain on your wedding day doesn’t have to be a bad omen. Purchase a tent so that everyone remains dry during the ceremony. It’s also helpful to prepare for extreme heat and wind, just in case the elements decide to crash your party.

Build a Backyard Bar

Weddings are a time to eat, drink, and be merry. Make sure you have a designated area for your guests to enjoy their adult beverages. Building a backyard bar will help keep the good times rolling.

The best thing about a backyard bar is that it doesn’t have to just be for your wedding. You can create your ultimate outdoor space if you make it a permanent structure. Include some alcohol-free drinks, too, so everyone has something to quench their thirst.

Landscape Before the Event

You don’t want ugly weeds and overgrown grass overwhelming your photos. Do some landscaping to get your yard under control before your big day.

At the very least, mow your lawn a few days before so everything looks neat and tidy. However, you can also plant flowers or grow a garden for a special touch. Don’t stop there; do some hardscaping with rustic stones to create walking paths that are easy for your guests to navigate.

Don’t Forget Your Interior

Even if your entire celebration is outdoors, people will likely need to use your home. Your bridal and groom parties need space to prepare for their photo ops. Unless you’ve made arrangements with a portable bathroom service, your guests will also need a place to freshen up.

Don’t forget about your home’s interior when throwing a beautiful backyard wedding. Do some deep cleaning so that everyone has a fresh space to celebrate. You could even extend your décor indoors to create a cohesive wedding theme.

Gathering your closest loved ones to witness your love is truly a special moment. Take some time to thoroughly prepare your backyard so you can have the wedding celebration of a lifetime.
