Finding It Difficult To Plan A Surprise Couple’s Trip? Here’s How To Handle The Obstacles

When you’re trying to surprise your partner with a romantic trip away, there are so many roadblocks and obstacles you have the chance to smash into or stumble over.

For one, you’re planning a vacation without any input from your partner – and that’s an incredibly difficult problem to navigate!

Even when you know your partner inside and out, the idea of creating a whole trip itinerary around the two of you without them knowing can be quite intimidating. It’s arguably easier to plan a vacation for a family of 4

But we can break this problem down into smaller bites, and thus make these challenges a lot easier to handle. If you’re having a bit of trouble trying to plan a surprise getaway for your significant other, use these tips to make things simpler.

What Does Your Partner Usually Like?

When you want to make absolutely sure that your partner is going to like your time away, think about the kind of vacations they look back on fondly.

Where did they go? And do the destinations have anything in common? For example, maybe every vacation they’ve loved has been a beach trip. If that’s the case, a romantic getaway with Mi Amor Tulum is likely to fit the bill for them here!

Other than that, you can also think about the activities they did when they were on vacation. Do they like to attend classes made for tourists? Do they like going round museums and art galleries? Do they prefer the nightlife side of being on vacation?

Think about these preferences they seem to have and plan your itinerary according to the patterns you spot.

What’s Their Schedule Been Like?

If you’re worried about whether or not your partner will be up for the trip, you need to think about their schedule. Have they been super busy, and frequently complain about how tired they are after a work day?

If so, you don’t want the vacation you’re planning to be the same kind of ordeal for them! You want them to be able to relax and take some time for themself, so don’t overstuff your plans with things to do.

Always keep their energy levels in mind and be careful about what you’re asking your partner to get involved with.

Get Their Friends Involved

They know your partner just as well as you do, so get some opinions on your trip itinerary before you actually book anything.

You might feel a little bit embarrassed to have to ask their friends for some ideas, but you can go around this tactfully if you need to.

Shoot them a message saying you’re planning a surprise trip, and you want to be sure you’ve included everything they’ll enjoy, so you just want to double check there’s nothing else you need to plan.

Surprising your couple with a romantic trip? Make sure you’ve thought about their favorite vacation experiences, check on their schedule, and ask their friends to review things!
