5 Glutenably Free FoodsVegitab to Add Some Flavor to Your Day

Gluten free almond cake

The are many different reasons someone might embark on a gluten-free diet, most of which involve specific health concerns that necessitate adherence to this sort of restrictive way of eating.

But while gluten-free diets are indeed restrictive, they don’t have to be boring. There are new types of food and fresh recipes coming out all the time, and in this article, you’ll learn about five of the best options.

Whether you’re new to the diet or have been at it for years and are looking for some inspiration, here are five recipes you should try today!

1. Gluten Free Pizza

Nearly everyone loves pizza, and thankfully, this food is firmly on the menu for those following a gluten-free diet.

Gluten-free pizza has improved considerably over the last decade or so, and with the dough itself being the primary cause for concern when it comes to gluten, most of the toppings don’t have to be modified at all!

2. Vegetable Noodle Dishes

Gluten-free noodles are another great addition to your GF repertoire, as there are dozens of different recipes you could make with them.

There are also many great substitutes, such as spiralized zucchini and sweet potato, that you can use in place of noodles; these make for a great way to get some extra vitamins in, too!

3. Grilled Chicken with Vegetables

A gluten-free diet likely means you’re naturally not eating as many starchy carbs, but that doesn’t have to be a problem. Starch is a big cause of bloat in a lot of people, even in those who don’t suffer from a gluten intolerance at all.

See your need to adhere to a gluten-freediet as an opportunity to eat a little healthier. Grilled chicken and vegetables is a great option, perhaps with some hummus on the side.

4. Flourless or Nut-Based Desserts

If you’re looking for something a little sweeter, why not try a nut-based dessert? Rather than cake, which invariably contains gluten, you could try almond cookies or coconut chocolate biscuits. Many people think that deserts are off limits if they follow a gluten-free diet, but that doesn’t have to be the case – you just have to think outside the box a little!

5. Stuffed Vegetables

Similar to grilled foods in that there are no starchy carbs involved, stuffed vegetables are another great way to add so much-needed flavor to a gluten-free diet.

Peppers, for example, are an excellent bet: they can be lightly coated with oil and then stuffed with a mince mixture for a high dose of protein and micronutrients.

Wrapping Up

Above are only five of what are positively hundreds of new gluten-free foods and recipes to try, so use the above ideas as a springboard to try and make your own stuff.

If you haven’t already, consider joining the gluten-free board on Reddit. There, you can find many new gluten-free recipes that people are trying, so do some digging and see what you can come up with. Have fun trying new things!
