4 Tips For Getting the Most From Your Swimming Pool

Experts aren’t sure exactly how much a swimming pool adds to the valuation of a home. Some say it’s only 5%, while others think it can add as much as 20%. In any case, what’s not up for debate is that adding a swimming pool to your property can dramatically enhance your lifestyle. After all, what could be better than diving into a swimming pool on a beautiful summer’s morning? People go on vacation just to have that experience. When you have a pool in your yard, it’ll simply be part of your life. Perfect!

If you’re looking to get the most from your home swimming pool, then keep the following ideas in mind. They’ll ensure that you use your pool as frequently — and as well — as you can.

Comfortable Seating

You might use your swimming pool to do laps that will help to keep you fit. However, there’ll also be times when you simply want to dive in as a way to cool off. At those moments, you’ll only be in the pool for a matter of seconds. To ensure you can enjoy the pool ambiance as much as possible, look at adding comfortable seating to the edge of your pool. That’ll allow you and your family to spend long spring and summer days soaking up the rays, knowing that the pool is right there whenever you want to cool off.

As well as seating, look at adding some sun umbrellas. They’ll allow you to stay outside next to the pool even on those super hot days.

Add a Heater

There’ll be days when the sun’s rays are so warm that you’re more than happy for your swimming pool water to be cold. But realistically, those periods won’t last for much more than a few weeks a year.

You can get the most from your swimming pool by adding a heater, which, depending on the heater’s capabilities, might allow you to enjoy your swimming pool all year round. There’s something pretty magical about starting a chilly winter’s morning with a few laps in a pool that’s nearly bath temperature.

Lights for Night Swimming

It’s not just the temperature that will influence how much time you can spend in your pool. The light does, too. To maximize the use of your swimming pool, look at adding pool lights. They’ll open up night swimming, which is always a lovely experience, and help to create a welcoming atmosphere in your yard once the sun sets. Wondering how long do pool lights last, and thus how frequently you’ll need to change them? Some light options last up to 50,000 hours, which means they’ll last for up to ten years.

Add an Outdoor Bar

You’ll be the most popular person in town once you have a swimming pool. Everyone will want to come round! Make sure you’re ready to host parties for friends and family by adding an outdoor bar. There’s nothing better than spending a nice day by the pool with loved ones, especially when it’s at your house!
