Have You Done These To Your Home Yet?

This is a contributed post with affiliate links

There should be many things on your list to do to your home. But amongst the rush of everyday life, we often put the little home improvements that we need to do, right to the back of our list. However, you’ll soon get to the point where you just know that certain things need to be done. Or, you’ll be completely oblivious to the small changes that could make a big difference to your home. Whatever point you’re at, we’re here to help. There are some minor things that we think you should have done to your home. If you haven’t, it’s time to give them a whirl, and for you to let us know if they made a difference! So have a read on to find out what’s on our hitlist.

Dirt Removal

We’re not trying to suggest that your house is dirty on the surface. You could be spot on with your cleaning yet there will definitely be some underlying dirt in your home. It just gets worked into all the crack and the corners, until it builds up and up. One area that can really take a hit without you realizing it is the carpet. Best way to get rid of that is by using a steamer to draw all of the dirt out. You can find out which one will work for you on Steam Insider. All you have to do is use it once or twice, just to make sure that you’re definitely getting everything out. The water inside the steamer will run clean when you’ve got it all up. Even though it might not have looked bad before, you’ll see a definite difference once you have used it. We would also recommend that you have a deep clean of areas such as the bathroom and kitchen once a month. It’s so easy for these rooms to collect grime and dirt, just because of all of the moisture and activity that goes on in the room!

Value Increases

Of course, you’re going to want your home to increase in value, but it isn’t just going to do it on its own. If you’re not in a position to extend, think about using the space that you have to add some value. For example, if you have a loft or even a basement to make use of, you could convert it into another room. Just that extra room can add over $10,000 in value to your home, and we know it won’t cost anywhere near that to renovate. The same goes for the bathrooms and the kitchen. The more modern you make it, the more the home is going to sell for.

Focused On Beautiful Decor

You have to be able to respect beautiful decor, and there really is some of that around at the minute. Beautiful decor to us is something that’s simple, yet elegant. Take the velvet grey sofas, with the grey carpet and white walls. It’s so subtle, yet somehow it looks effortlessly elegant. This is what you want to try and achieve, and checking out designs blogs such as this is going to help you get that look.
